I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.

“ Simeon and Levi are brothers. Their swords are weapons of violence.My soul, don’t come into their council. My glory, don’t be united to their assembly; for in their anger they killed men. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.

Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Don’t look at the stubbornness of this people, nor at their wickedness, nor at their sin,

Isn’t my house so with God? Yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure, for it is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he doesn’t make it grow.

You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.

“‘ If they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me; and also that because they walked contrary to me,I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity,then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its Sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God.But I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”

Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.He took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people, and they said,“ We will do all that Yahweh has said, and be obedient.”Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said,“ Look, this is the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has made with you concerning all these words.”

to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,the oath which he swore to Abraham, our father,to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.
