爾實置之於險地、委之於沉淪兮、

維彼惡人、雨置諸險滑之途、擲諸死亡之地兮、

主使之立於滑地、使之陷於沈淪、

欲論世間人。應觀其終局。小人處順境。所以成其戮。

Surely you place them on slippery ground; you cast them down to ruin.

God, I’m sure you will make them slip and fall. You will throw them down and destroy them.

Truly you set them in slippery places; you make them fall to ruin.

Truly, you put them on a slippery path and send them sliding over the cliff to destruction.

who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness; Jehovah our God will cut them off.

I have seen the wicked in great power, And spreading himself like a green tree in its native soil.But one passed by, and, lo, he was not: Yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright; For there is a happy end to the man of peace.As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together: The end of the wicked shall be cut off.

Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery places in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein; for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith Jehovah.

But the wicked shall perish, And the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: They shall consume; In smoke shall they consume away.

But thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in thee.
