For I have been stricken all day long, And punished every morning.

我天天遭災，日日受苦。

因為我終日受傷害，每天早晨受懲罰。

因為我終日不斷地受災害，我每日早晨都被懲罰。

我終日遭受擊打，每天清晨遭受責備。

蓋我終日遭難、每晨受責兮、

終日罹災害、清晨逢譴責兮。

我終日遭難、每晨受苦、

為善而遭殃。何苦自縛束。

All day long I have been afflicted, and every morning brings new punishments.

Day after day I’ve been in pain. God has punished me in a new way every morning.

For all the day long I have been stricken and rebuked every morning.

I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.

For I am afflicted all day long and punished every morning.

For all day long I have been plagued, And chastened every morning.

For all the day long have I been plagued, And chastened every morning.

For I am afflicted all day long and punished every morning.

For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

I suffer all day long, and am punished every morning.”

For all day long I have been plagued, and punished every morning.

Why has my pain been endless And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive stream With water that is unreliable?

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,

“ You only have I known among all the families of the earth; Therefore I will punish you for all your wrongdoing.”

and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are punished by Him;

The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all.

So I am allotted worthless months, And nights of trouble are apportioned to me.When I lie down, I say,‘ When shall I arise?’ But the night continues, And I am continually tossing until dawn.

Is it right for You indeed to oppress, To reject the work of Your hands, And to look favorably on the plan of the wicked?

You renew Your witnesses against me And increase Your anger toward me; Hardship after hardship is with me.

That You examine him every morning And put him to the test every moment?

Blessed is the man whom You discipline, Lord, And whom You teach from Your Law,
