For You are my hope; Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.

我所仰望者惟有主、主天主歟、我自幼時、即倚恃主、

主乃我之望。自幼所依恃。

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.

You are the King and the Lord. You have always been my hope. I have trusted in you ever since I was young.

For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.

O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.

For you are my hope, Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.

For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.

For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: Thou art my trust from my youth.

For You are my hope, Lord God, my confidence from my youth.

For thou[ art] my hope, O Lord GOD:[ thou art] my trust from my youth.

For you give me confidence, O Lord; O LORD, I have trusted in you since I was young.

For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my confidence from my youth.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose trust is the Lord.

My soul languishes for Your salvation; I wait for Your word.

“ And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.

God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds.

Do not be a terror to me; You are my refuge in a day of disaster.

I hope for Your salvation, Lord, And do Your commandments.

But David said to the Philistine,“ You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a saber, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of armies, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you and remove your head from you. Then I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel,and that this entire assembly may know that the Lord does not save by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will hand you over to us!”

So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward. And Samuel set out and went to Ramah.

But Saul said to David,“ You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight him; for you are only a youth, while he has been a warrior since his youth.”But David said to Saul,“ Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a sheep from the flock,I went out after it and attacked it, and rescued the sheep from its mouth; and when it rose up against me, I grabbed it by its mane and struck it and killed it.Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has defied the armies of the living God.”And David said,“ The Lord who saved me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear, He will save me from the hand of this Philistine.” So Saul said to David,“ Go, and may the Lord be with you.”

Hope of Israel, Its Savior in time of distress, Why are You like a stranger in the land, Or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night?

But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

Lord, the hope of Israel, All who abandon You will be put to shame. Those who turn away on earth will be written down, Because they have forsaken the fountain of living water, that is the Lord.

and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.I was cast upon You from birth; You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now the Child continued to grow and to become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the favor of God was upon Him.

Why are you in despair, my soul? And why are you restless within me? Wait for God, for I will again praise Him For the help of His presence, my God.

All who found them have devoured them; And their adversaries have said,‘ We are not guilty, Since they have sinned against the Lord who is the habitation of righteousness, The Lord, the hope of their fathers.’

Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years approach when you will say,“ I have no pleasure in them”;
