For you are my hope, Lord GOD, my confidence from my youth.

主耶和华啊，你是我所盼望的；从我年幼，你是我所倚靠的。

因為主啊、只有你是我所盼望的；永恆主啊、只有你是我幼年以來所倚靠的。

因為你是我的希望！主耶和華啊，從我年幼以來，你就是我的依賴！

主耶和華歟、爾為我望、我自幼冲、惟爾是恃兮、

余自孩提、惟主耶和華是望兮。

我所仰望者惟有主、主天主歟、我自幼時、即倚恃主、

主乃我之望。自幼所依恃。

For you have been my hope, Sovereign Lord, my confidence since my youth.

You are the King and the Lord. You have always been my hope. I have trusted in you ever since I was young.

For you, O Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth.

O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.

For You are my hope; Lord God, You are my confidence from my youth.

For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.

For thou art my hope, O Lord Jehovah: Thou art my trust from my youth.

For You are my hope, Lord God, my confidence from my youth.

For thou[ art] my hope, O Lord GOD:[ thou art] my trust from my youth.

For you give me confidence, O Lord; O LORD, I have trusted in you since I was young.

For you are my hope, Lord Yahweh, my confidence from my youth.

The person who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence indeed is the LORD, is blessed.

I long for your salvation; I put my hope in your word.

“ Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in you.

God, you have taught me from my youth, and I still proclaim your wondrous works.

Don’t become a terror to me. You are my refuge in the day of disaster.

LORD, I hope for your salvation and carry out your commands.

David said to the Philistine,“ You come against me with a sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Armies, the God of the ranks of Israel— you have defied him.Today, the LORD will hand you over to me. Today, I’ll strike you down, remove your head, and give the corpses of the Philistine camp to the birds of the sky and the wild creatures of the earth. Then all the world will know that Israel has a God,and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the LORD’s. He will hand you over to us.”

So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully on David from that day forward. Then Samuel set out and went to Ramah.

But Saul replied,“ You can’t go fight this Philistine. You’re just a youth, and he’s been a warrior since he was young.”David answered Saul,“ Your servant has been tending his father’s sheep. Whenever a lion or a bear came and carried off a lamb from the flock,I went after it, struck it down, and rescued the lamb from its mouth. If it reared up against me, I would grab it by its fur, strike it down, and kill it.Your servant has killed lions and bears; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”Then David said,“ The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David,“ Go, and may the LORD be with you.”

Hope of Israel, its Savior in time of distress, why are you like a resident alien in the land, like a traveler stopping only for the night?

But I have trusted in your faithful love; my heart will rejoice in your deliverance.

LORD, the hope of Israel, all who abandon you will be put to shame. All who turn away from me will be written in the dirt, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water.

and you know that from infancy you have known the sacred Scriptures, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

It was you who brought me out of the womb, making me secure at my mother’s breast.I was given over to you at birth; you have been my God from my mother’s womb.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The boy grew up and became strong, filled with wisdom, and God’s grace was on him.

Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God.

Whoever found them devoured them. Their adversaries said,“ We’re not guilty; instead, they have sinned against the LORD, their righteous grazing land, the hope of their ancestors, the LORD.”

So remember your Creator in the days of your youth: Before the days of adversity come, and the years approach when you will say,“ I have no delight in them”;
