Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.

You have sent many bitter troubles my way. But you will give me new life. Even if I’m almost in the grave, you will bring me back.

You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.

You caused me to experience many troubles and misfortunes, but you will revive me again. You will bring me up again, even from the depths of the earth.

I waited patiently for Jehovah; And he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay; And he set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: Many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in Jehovah.

Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.

And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be greatly amazed, and sore troubled.And he saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death: abide ye here, and watch.

Are they ministers of Christ?( I speak as one beside himself) I more; in labors more abundantly, in prisons more abundantly, in stripes above measure, in deaths oft.Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day have I been in the deep;in journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from my countrymen, in perils from the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;in labor and travail, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.Besides those things that are without, there is that which presseth upon me daily, anxiety for all the churches.Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is caused to stumble, and I burn not?If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things that concern my weakness.The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, he who is blessed for evermore knoweth that I lie not.
