So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

神哪，纵然到我年老发白的时候，你也不要离弃我，直到我向这世代宣告你的能力，向后世所有的人宣告你的大能！

到我這年老髮白時候、上帝啊，不要離棄我，等我將你膀臂的作為向下一代宣說，將你的大能向一切將來的人講述。

神哪，縱然到我年老髮白的時候，你也不要離棄我，直到我向這世代宣告你的能力，向後世所有的人宣告你的大能！

上帝歟、我老年皓首時、勿遺棄我、俟我宣爾力於後世、述爾能於來者兮、

今我年邁、皓然白首、毋我遐棄、我將以爾能力、訓誨斯世、爰及後人兮、

我至年老髮白之時、求天主仍莫遐棄我、我將以主之大力、傳揚於來世、以主之大能、指示將生在世之人、

白髮莫相違。俾竟平生志。綦願將大德。宣示我後裔。

Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come.

God, don’t leave me even when I’m old and have gray hair. Let me live to tell my children about your power. Let me tell all of them about your mighty acts.

Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.

Even while I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, while I proclaim your power to another generation, your strength to all who are to come.

And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.

Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.

Even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me. Then I will proclaim Your power to another generation, Your strength to all who are to come.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto[ this] generation,[ and] thy power to every one[ that] is to come.

Even when I am old and gray, O God, do not abandon me, until I tell the next generation about your strength, and those coming after me about your power.

Yes, even when I am old and gray- haired, God, don’t forsake me, until I have declared your strength to the next generation, your might to everyone who is to come.

Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent.

even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.

We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.

One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.

Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding.O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you.O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you.Grant to Solomon my son a whole heart that he may keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, performing all, and that he may build the palace for which I have made provision.”Then David said to all the assembly,“ Bless the Lord your God.” And all the assembly blessed the Lord, the God of their fathers, and bowed their heads and paid homage to the Lord and to the king.And they offered sacrifices to the Lord, and on the next day offered burnt offerings to the Lord, 1,000 bulls, 1,000 rams, and 1,000 lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel.And they ate and drank before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the Lord, and Zadok as priest.Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him.All the leaders and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon.And the Lord made Solomon very great in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.The time that he reigned over Israel was forty years. He reigned seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.Then he died at a good age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.Now the acts of King David, from first to last, are written in the Chronicles of Samuel the seer, and in the Chronicles of Nathan the prophet, and in the Chronicles of Gad the seer,with accounts of all his rule and his might and of the circumstances that came upon him and upon Israel and upon all the kingdoms of the countries.

For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers and saw corruption,

When Isaac was old and his eyes were dim so that he could not see, he called Esau his older son and said to him,“ My son”; and he answered,“ Here I am.”
