耶和華啊，求你察看我，考驗我，熬煉我的肺腑心腸。

你已經考驗我的心，你在夜間鑒察我。你熬煉我，卻找不到錯失，我立志叫我口中沒有過失。

希律不歸榮耀給上帝，所以主的使者立刻擊打他，他被蟲咬，就斷了氣。

耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中殺了十八萬五千人。清早有人起來，看哪，都是死屍。亞述王西拿基立就拔營回去，住在尼尼微。一日，他在他的神明尼斯洛廟裏叩拜，他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他，然後逃到亞拉臘地；他兒子以撒‧哈頓接續他作王。

「他必保護他聖民的腳步，但惡人卻在黑暗中毀滅，因為人不是靠力量得勝。

你曾斥責列國，滅絕惡人；你曾塗去他們的名，直到永永遠遠。仇敵到了盡頭；他們遭毀壞，直到永遠。你拆毀他們的城鎮，連他們的名字也都消滅！

為要給孤兒和受欺壓的人伸冤，使世上的人不再威嚇他們。

他要在海和榮美的聖山之間搭起王宮的帳幕；然而他的結局到了，無人能幫助他。」

求你打斷惡人的膀臂，至於壞人，求你追究他的惡，直到淨盡。

上帝啊，敵人辱罵要到幾時呢？仇敵藐視你的名要到永遠嗎？你為甚麼縮回你的右手？求你從懷中伸出手來，毀滅他們。

他從泥坑裏，從淤泥中，把我拉上來，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我腳步穩健。

那賜一切恩典的上帝曾在基督裏召了你們，得享他永遠的榮耀，在你們暫受苦難之後，必要親自成全你們，堅固你們，賜力量給你們，建立你們。

耶穌基督的僕人、雅各的兄弟猶大，寫信給那些被召、在父上帝裏蒙愛、為耶穌基督保守的人。

惟有上帝能照我所傳的福音和所講的耶穌基督，並照歷代以來隱藏的奧祕的啟示，堅固你們。

好堅固你們的心，使你們在我們的主耶穌同他眾聖徒來臨的時候，在我們父上帝面前，成為聖潔，無可指責。阿們！
