萬軍之永恆主，試驗義人的啊，察看人心腸心思的啊，讓我見你在他們身上加以報復哦，因為我已將我的案件向你稟明。

但是永恆主對撒母耳說：『不要注意他的容貌、和他身材的高大；我不取他；因為永恆主人看人、不像人看人：人是看面目，永恆主是看內心。』

永恆主啊，你察透了我，你認識我。

永恆主試驗義人和惡人；他的心恨惡那愛強暴的。

我必以死亡擊殺她的兒女；眾教會就知道我是探索透人肺腑腎腸的；我必照你們的行為將各人所應得的報給你們。

人的腳步由永恆主立定的、他所行的路永恆主也喜愛；

上帝哪不察透這事呢？因為他總知道人心之隱祕啊。

永恆主啊，檢查我，試驗我，熬煉我的心腸、我的心思。

你試驗了我的心；你夜裏鑒察我；你熬煉我，卻找不着我有惡念：我的口沒有過犯。

主的使者立時擊打希律，因為他不將榮耀歸與上帝，他被蟲子咬，就氣絕了。

上帝啊，敲掉他們口中的牙齒吧！永恆主啊，拆壞少壯獅子的牙床吧！

上帝啊，求你起來，為你自己的案件而伸訴；要記得愚頑人怎樣終日不住地辱罵你。不要忘記你敵人的聲音，那起來攻擊你、的人的鬨嚷不斷地上升。

永恆主的使者就出來，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；第二天早晨、人清早起來，只見都是死屍。亞述王西拿基立拔了營而走，就回去，住在尼尼微。他在他的神尼斯洛廟裏叩拜的時候，他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀弒殺了他，逃到亞拉臘地。他的兒子以撒哈頓接替他作王。

他必保護他堅貞之民的腳步，使惡人在黑暗中消滅死寂；因為人得勝、不是靠着勢力。

你叱責了列國，使惡人滅亡；你塗抹了他們的名到永永遠遠。敵國被滅盡，永遠荒廢；他們的城市你拔毁其根；他們令人懷念的遺跡也都滅沒。

為孤兒和受欺壓的人伸冤，使屬於地的人不再使人戰抖。

他必在海與華美的聖山之間樹立他宮殿式的帳幕。後來走到他的結局、也沒有人幫助他。

願你打斷惡人的膀臂；壞人呢、願你追究他的惡到無餘。

上帝啊，敵人辱罵、要到幾時呢？仇敵褻慢你的名、要到永久麼？為甚麼將你的手縮回，將你右手老縮在懷中呢？

他把我從毁滅坑裏、從淤泥中拉上，使我的腳立在磐石上，使我的步伐穩當。

那賜萬般恩惠之上帝、就是曾在基督裏召喚你們進入他永世之榮耀的、必在你們暫時受苦之後、親自重立你們，使你們堅固，叫你們強健，給你們立定根基。

耶穌基督的僕人、雅各的弟兄猶大、寫信給蒙召的、在父上帝裏蒙愛的、在耶穌基督裏得保守的人。

願榮耀歸與上帝，就是照我所傳的福音、以及所宣傳的耶穌基督、照奧祕之啓現、那位能使你們堅固的；這奧祕是歷時歷世隱祕不宣、

好讓他、當我們主耶穌帶着他的眾聖者御臨的時候、使你們的心堅固、在我們的父上帝面前、於聖潔上無可責備。
