耶和华的使者出去，在亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。清早有人起来一看，都是死尸了。亚述王西拿基立就拔营回去，住在尼尼微。一日在他的神尼斯洛庙里叩拜，他儿子亚得米勒和沙利色用刀杀了他，就逃到亚拉腊地。他儿子以撒哈顿接续他作王。

“他必保护圣民的脚步，使恶人在黑暗中寂然不动；人都不能靠力量得胜。

你曾斥责外邦，你曾灭绝恶人；你曾涂抹他们的名，直到永永远远。仇敌到了尽头；他们被毁坏，直到永远。你拆毁他们的城邑，连他们的名号都归于无有。

为要给孤儿和受欺压的人伸冤，使强横的人不再威吓他们。

他必在海和荣美的圣山中间设立他如宫殿的帐幕；然而到了他的结局，必无人能帮助他。”

愿你打断恶人的膀臂；至于坏人，愿你追究他的恶，直到净尽。

神啊，敌人辱骂要到几时呢？仇敌亵渎你的名要到永远吗？你为什么缩回你的右手？求你从怀中伸出来，毁灭他们。

他从祸坑里，从淤泥中，把我拉上来，使我的脚立在磐石上，使我脚步稳当。

那赐诸般恩典的神曾在基督里召你们，得享他永远的荣耀，等你们暂受苦难之后，必要亲自成全你们，坚固你们，赐力量给你们。

耶稣基督的仆人，雅各的弟兄犹大，写信给那被召、在父神里蒙爱、为耶稣基督保守的人。

惟有神能照我所传的福音和所讲的耶稣基督，并照永古隐藏不言的奥秘，坚固你们的心。

好使你们当我们主耶稣同他众圣徒来的时候，在我们父神面前，心里坚固，成为圣洁，无可责备。
