考驗義人、洞悉人心的萬軍之耶和華啊，求你讓我看見你報應他們，因為我已向你稟明冤情。

但耶和華對撒母耳說：「不要看他相貌堂堂、身材高大，我要選的不是他。耶和華不像世人那樣看人，人看外表，耶和華看內心。」

耶和華啊，你洞察我的內心，知道我的一切。

耶和華察驗義人和惡人，祂憎恨邪惡和殘暴之徒。

耶和華引領義人的腳步，喜悅他們所走的路。

耶和華啊，求你察驗我，試煉我，鑒察我的心思意念。

你試驗過我的心思，夜間鑒察過我，磨煉過我，找不出任何過犯；我立志口不犯罪。

希律沒有把榮耀歸給上帝，主的天使立刻懲罰他，他當場被蟲子咬死了。

祂保護祂的聖民，使惡人在黑暗中滅亡，因為得勝不是靠人的勇力。

你斥責列國，消滅惡人，永永遠遠抹去他們的名字。仇敵永遠滅亡了，你把他們的城池連根拔起，無人再記得他們。

你為孤兒和受欺壓的人伸冤，使渺小的世人不能再恐嚇他們。

他必在海和榮美的聖山之間搭起他宮殿般的帳幕。但他必滅亡，無人相助。

求你打斷惡人的臂膀，徹底追究他們的罪惡。

上帝啊，仇敵嘲笑你的名要到何時呢？他們要永無休止地辱罵你嗎？你為何不伸出大能的右手？求你出手給他們致命的一擊。

祂把我從絕望的深淵拉出來，救我脫離泥濘沼澤，把我安置在磐石上，使我步履穩健。

你們忍受短暫的苦難之後，廣施恩典、在基督裡呼召你們享受祂永遠榮耀的上帝必親自復興你們，使你們剛強、篤定、堅立。

我是耶穌基督的奴僕、雅各的兄弟猶大，現在寫信給蒙父上帝呼召、眷愛、被耶穌基督看顧的人。

感謝上帝！祂能使你們剛強，正如我所傳講的福音和耶穌基督的教導。這福音是自古隱藏、從未顯明的奧祕，

這樣，當我們的主耶穌帶著祂的眾聖徒再來時，你們可以在我們的父上帝面前心裡剛強，完全聖潔，無可指責。
