考验义人、洞悉人心的万军之耶和华啊，求你让我看见你报应他们，因为我已向你禀明冤情。

但耶和华对撒母耳说：“不要看他相貌堂堂、身材高大，我要选的不是他。耶和华不像世人那样看人，人看外表，耶和华看内心。”

耶和华啊，你洞察我的内心，知道我的一切。

耶和华察验义人和恶人，祂憎恨邪恶和残暴之徒。

我要击杀她的爪牙，使众教会都知道我洞察人的心思意念，我要照你们各人的行为对待你们。

耶和华引领义人的脚步，喜悦他们所走的路。

上帝怎会不知道呢？祂洞悉人心中的秘密。

耶和华啊，求你察验我，试炼我，鉴察我的心思意念。

你试验过我的心思，夜间鉴察过我，磨炼过我，找不出任何过犯；我立志口不犯罪。

希律没有把荣耀归给上帝，主的天使立刻惩罚他，他当场被虫子咬死了。

上帝啊，求你敲碎他们的牙齿；耶和华啊，求你拔掉这些猛狮的利齿。

于是，耶和华的天使到亚述营中杀了十八万五千人。人们清早起来，发现到处是尸体。亚述王西拿基立便拔营回国，住在尼尼微。有一天，他在庙中祭拜他的神明尼斯洛的时候，他儿子亚得米勒和沙利色用刀杀了他，然后逃往亚拉腊。他儿子以撒哈顿继位。

祂保护祂的圣民，使恶人在黑暗中灭亡，因为得胜不是靠人的勇力。

你斥责列国，消灭恶人，永永远远抹去他们的名字。仇敌永远灭亡了，你把他们的城池连根拔起，无人再记得他们。

你为孤儿和受欺压的人申冤，使渺小的世人不能再恐吓他们。

他必在海和荣美的圣山之间搭起他宫殿般的帐幕。但他必灭亡，无人相助。

求你打断恶人的臂膀，彻底追究他们的罪恶。

上帝啊，仇敌嘲笑你的名要到何时呢？他们要永无休止地辱骂你吗？你为何不伸出大能的右手？求你出手给他们致命的一击。

祂把我从绝望的深渊拉出来，救我脱离泥泞沼泽，把我安置在磐石上，使我步履稳健。

你们忍受短暂的苦难之后，广施恩典、在基督里呼召你们享受祂永远荣耀的上帝必亲自复兴你们，使你们刚强、笃定、坚立。

我是耶稣基督的奴仆、雅各的兄弟犹大，现在写信给蒙父上帝呼召、眷爱、被耶稣基督看顾的人。

感谢上帝！祂能使你们刚强，正如我所传讲的福音和耶稣基督的教导。这福音是自古隐藏、从未显明的奥秘，

这样，当我们的主耶稣带着祂的众圣徒再来时，你们可以在我们的父上帝面前心里刚强，完全圣洁，无可指责。
