人不能長享富貴，終必死去，與獸無異。

我縫製麻衣，披在身上，把我的榮耀埋在塵土中。

鑒察驕傲者，制伏他，將惡人原地踐踏；將他們一起埋進塵土，藏入幽冥。

我何曾與虛假同行，疾步追隨詭詐？願上帝把我放在公義的天平上秤量，讓祂知道我的清白。倘若我的腳偏離正路，貪圖眼目之慾，或手上粘著罪污，願我種的莊稼被別人享用，我田中的出產被連根拔起。我的心若迷戀女人，在鄰居的門口窺探，願我妻子為別人推磨，願別人與她同房。

「我獨自在榨酒池踩踏，萬民中無人跟我在一起。我在憤怒中踩踏他們，在烈怒中踐踏他們；他們的血濺到我的衣服上，染紅了我的衣服。

到我所定的日子，你們必踐踏惡人，他們必成為你們腳下的塵土。』這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

我們靠你擊退敵人，靠你的名踐踏仇敵。

他們必像戰場上的勇士，將仇敵踐踏在街上的泥土中。他們必爭戰，因為耶和華與他們同在。他們必使敵方的騎兵蒙羞。

「若我的田地向我喊冤，條條犁溝一同哭訴；若我白吃地的出產，或使地的主人喪命，願地長出蒺藜而非麥子，長出雜草而非大麥。」約伯的話說完了。

耶和華啊，你是以色列的盼望。背棄你的人必蒙羞，背叛你的人必像寫在塵土上的名字一樣消逝，因為他們背棄了耶和華——活水的源泉。
