夫予之蒙恥而受辱兮。非為主之故乎。

I am a foreigner to my own family, a stranger to my own mother’s children;

I’m an outsider to my own family. I’m a stranger to my own mother’s children.

I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother’s sons.

Even my own brothers pretend they don’t know me; they treat me like a stranger.

Because of all mine adversaries I am become a reproach, Yea, unto my neighbors exceedingly, And a fear to mine acquaintance: They that did see me without fled from me.

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand afar off.

But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and saith unto them that were there, This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.And again he denied with an oath, I know not the man.And after a little while they that stood by came and said to Peter, Of a truth thou also art one of them; for thy speech maketh thee known.Then began he to curse and to swear, I know not the man. And straightway the cock crew.

He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not.

And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab’s anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why art thou come down? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thy heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle.

He hath put my brethren far from me, And mine acquaintance are wholly estranged from me.My kinsfolk have failed, And my familiar friends have forgotten me.They that dwell in my house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.I call unto my servant, and he giveth me no answer, Though I entreat him with my mouth.My breath is strange to my wife, And my supplication to the children of mine own mother.Even young children despise me; If I arise, they speak against me.All my familiar friends abhor me, And they whom I loved are turned against me.

For even his brethren did not believe on him.

Trust ye not in a neighbor; put ye not confidence in a friend; keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.For the son dishonoreth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter- in- law against her mother- in- law; a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

And brother shall deliver up brother to death, and the father his child: and children shall rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.

He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.

But all this is come to pass, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples left him, and fled.

For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law:and a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.

Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he: take him.And straightway he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, Rabbi; and kissed him.And Jesus said unto him, Friend, do that for which thou art come. Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
