For Jehovah heareth the needy, And despiseth not his prisoners.

良善者將聞報而相慶兮。恃主者當歡欣而鼓舞。

The Lord hears the needy and does not despise his captive people.

The Lord hears those who are in need. He doesn’t forget his people in prison.

For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own people who are prisoners.

For the Lord hears the cries of the needy; he does not despise his imprisoned people.

For the LORD listens to the needy and does not despise his own who are prisoners.

Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron,

To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death;

He hath regarded the prayer of the destitute, And hath not despised their prayer.

Fear not the things which thou art about to suffer: behold, the devil is about to cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days. Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

For all these things hath my hand made, and so all these things came to be, saith Jehovah: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembleth at my word.

For he will deliver the needy when he crieth, And the poor, that hath no helper.He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save.He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight:

And when he had taken him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to guard him; intending after the Passover to bring him forth to the people.Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but prayer was made earnestly of the church unto God for him.And when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and guards before the door kept the prison.And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shined in the cell: and he smote Peter on the side, and awoke him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.And he went out, and followed; and he knew not that it was true which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision.And when they were past the first and the second guard, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth into the city; which opened to them of its own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and straightway the angel departed from him.And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a truth, that the Lord hath sent forth his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith Jehovah; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

Who executeth justice for the oppressed; Who giveth food to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit wherein is no water.Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope: even to- day do I declare that I will render double unto thee.

Jehovah, thou hast heard the desire of the meek: Thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear;
