身深陷兮泥中。欲自拔兮無從。漂入兮深淵。滅頂兮狂瀾。

I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God.

I’m worn out from calling for help. My throat is very dry. My eyes grow tired looking for my God.

I am weary with my crying out; my throat is parched. My eyes grow dim with waiting for my God.

I am exhausted from crying for help; my throat is parched. My eyes are swollen with weeping, waiting for my God to help me.

I am weary from my crying; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God.

My eyes fail with longing for Your word, While I say,“ When will You comfort me?”

Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter; I moan like a dove; My eyes look wistfully to the heights; Lord, I am oppressed, be my security.

My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation, And for Your righteous word.

Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people, while your eyes look on and long for them constantly; but there will be nothing you can do.

My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

Let integrity and uprightness protect me, For I wait for You.

How long, Lord? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?How long am I to feel anxious in my soul, With grief in my heart all the day? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; Enlighten my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death,

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, in order that the Scripture would be fulfilled,* said,“ I am thirsty.”

But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And there will be no escape for them; And their hope is to breathe their last.”

In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior.

“ And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You.

They also gave me a bitter herb in my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

My face is flushed from weeping, And deep darkness is on my eyelids,

My eyes fail because of tears, My spirit is greatly troubled; My heart is poured out on the earth Because of the destruction of the daughter of my people, When little ones and infants languish In the streets of the city.
