Charge them with one crime after another. Don’t save them.

Add to them punishment upon punishment; may they have no acquittal from you.

Hold them accountable for all their sins! Do not vindicate them!

But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.

Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.

Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets.Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!

For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.

But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart and would not let the people go.

But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal.

So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

Then he told me,“ Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, because the time is near.Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart and he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said to Moses.

For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lieand so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

He loved to pronounce a curse— may it come back on him. He found no pleasure in blessing— may it be far from him.He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.

I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and briers and thorns will grow there. I will command the clouds not to rain on it.”

Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it,“ May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.

They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
