For they persecute those you wound and talk about the pain of those you hurt.

They attack those you have wounded. They talk about the pain of those you have hurt.

For they persecute him whom you have struck down, and they recount the pain of those you have wounded.

But I am very angry with the other nations that are now enjoying peace and security. I was only a little angry with my people, but the nations inflicted harm on them far beyond my intentions.

But a prophet of the Lord named Oded was there in Samaria when the army of Israel returned home. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.
