于是，他们拿住耶利米，用绳子把他缒到王子玛基雅的蓄水池里。那池子在护卫兵的院子里，池中没有水，只有淤泥。耶利米就陷在淤泥中。

任由风吹雨打、洪水冲击，房子仍屹立不倒，因为它建基在磐石上。

所有留在犹大王宫的妇女都必被巴比伦王的将领俘虏，她们会讽刺你说，‘你被好友欺骗、误导，当你陷入泥潭时，他们就离弃了你。’

洪水在地上泛滥了四十天，水不断地往上涨，把方舟漂了起来。洪水来势汹汹，淹没大地，方舟漂浮在水面上。水势越来越大，把天下各处的高山都淹没了。水淹没了群山，水面高出群山七米。世上所有的飞禽、走兽、牲畜、爬虫和人类都死了。在陆地上所有用鼻孔呼吸的生灵都死了。地上的人类、飞禽走兽和爬虫等一切生灵都被毁灭了，只剩下挪亚和跟他同在方舟里的生灵。

祂带了彼得和西庇太的两个儿子一起去。祂心里非常忧伤痛苦，就对他们说：“我心里非常忧伤，几乎要死，你们留在这里跟我一起警醒。”

你已经把我扔在漆黑的深渊。你的烈怒重重地压着我，如汹涌波涛把我淹没。（细拉）

船夫把你摇到汪洋之中，但东风要把你击碎在海中。你的财富、货物、商品、水手、舵手、缝匠、客商、战士和人民在你倾覆的日子都要沉到深海里。你舵手的哀号声必震动海岸，所有的船夫、水手、舵手都必弃船登岸，为你放声痛哭，把尘埃撒在头上，在灰中打滚，又为你剃头披麻，悲痛哀伤。他们在痛哭中为你唱起哀歌，哀悼你说，有哪一座城像泰尔一样在深海中销声匿迹呢？你的货物由海上运出，满足了许多国家；你的资财和货物使地上的君王富裕。然而，如今你在汪洋中被海浪击碎，你的货物和人民都一同沉没了。
