告其徒曰：『吾心鬱悒、悲苦欲絕！爾曹留此儆守。』少進、跪伏於地而禱、謂：『苟屬可能、願免歷此難時。』又曰：『阿爸！全能者父！盍免我飲此爵！雖然、莫從吾意、惟循父旨。』及返、見諸徒皆睡、呼伯鐸祿曰：『西門睡耶？竟弗克儆守半晷！宜儆守祈禱、庶免陷於外誘；心志誠毅、形驅則餒。』復往禱如前、再返、見諸徒仍睡、厥目昏沉、不知所對、三返、謂徒曰：『為時無多、爾且小休。已矣！時至矣！人子即將被付於罪人之手！可起而行！鬻我者不旋踵而至矣！』

惡言紛相加。無故肆抨擊。

予心之戀主兮。如麋鹿之戀清泉。

莫令昧良者。欣然看我蹶。

洪濤洶湧狂瀾奔。大水駸駸沒吾魂。

拔我兮泥中。脫我兮諸兇。

求主為聖名。秉公伸我屈。求主按仁慈。賜我以救拔。

其國人素惡之、至是乃遣使追告、聲言不願其為王。

憐我狼狽狀。赦我一切辜。求主保吾身。身為眾怨府。

至我諸仇、不願予為其王者、曳來誅于吾前。」』

耶穌大聲而呼曰：『伊理伊理！拉瑪撒巴大尼！』譯言『主兮主兮、胡為棄我如遺！』
