憎彼侯王。黜之遐荒。遐荒無路。四顧茫茫。寖削寖弱。淪胥以亡。恤此寡弱。錫以寧康。靡暴於眾。無凌於強。子孫振振。多於群羊。民生裕哉。如熙春陽。

良善者將聞報而相慶兮。恃主者當歡欣而鼓舞。

希祿將提伯鐸祿之前夕、伯鐸祿身被二鏈、臥於二卒之中、戍者守之門外；忽有主之天神、立於其側、光耀滿室；拍伯鐸祿之脅、醒之曰：『速起！』鏈脫其手。天神復語之曰：『束帶、著履！』既如命、天神又曰：『披外衣、從予！』遂從之出。當時不知天神所行之事乃屬真境、猶以為幻象也。既過守所二重、乃至臨衢之鐵門、門自啟；出經一衢而天神杳然。伯鐸祿憬悟曰：『予今乃真知主遣天神援予於希祿之手、而脫我於猶太人之所冀也。』既悟、乃詣若望別號馬爾谷者之母瑪利亞家、即眾人集禱之處也。伯鐸祿叩其扃、小女羅大出而應之、聞為伯鐸祿、樂而未及啟戶、趨回告眾、謂伯鐸祿返抵門墻。眾曰：『汝癲矣！』小女堅言屬實。眾曰：『是殆其守護天神耳！』伯鐸祿叩之急、眾啟而見之、不勝驚異。伯鐸祿以手示意、誡毋喧；遂縷述主為其脫獄事、並囑告之雅谷伯及諸兄弟。遂去而之他。拂曉、守卒不見伯鐸祿、張皇特甚。希祿索之不得、勘守卒、處以死。旋希祿離猶太、往凱塞里、居焉。希祿夙與諦羅、西峒人有隙、惟二邑之人賴王土以食。因挽近臣伯拉斯都代為乞和。希祿於其所訂之日、服王袍、登寶座、而諭之。眾呼曰：『斯乃上天綸音、非復人間凡響矣！』頓為主之天神所痛擊、以其不歸榮天主也。竟為蟲所蝕而死。於是天主之道日昌、傳布益廣。巴拿巴與掃羅所務既畢、返自耶路撒冷、且攜別字馬爾谷之若望同行。

獄吏驚寤、驟睹獄門洞開、度諸犯已逸、拔刀圖自刎。
