Envoys will come from Egypt; Cush will submit herself to God.

On that day five cities in the land of Egypt will be speaking the language of Canaan and swearing allegiance to the Lord of armies; one will be called the City of Destruction.On that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a memorial stone to the Lord beside its border.And it will become a sign and a witness to the Lord of armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry out to the Lord because of oppressors, and He will send them a Savior and a Champion, and He will save them.So the Lord will make Himself known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know the Lord on that day. They will even worship with sacrifice and offering, and will make a vow to the Lord and perform it.And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking but healing; so they will return to the Lord, and He will respond to their pleas and heal them.On that day there will be a road from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrians will come into Egypt and the Egyptians into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.On that day Israel will be the third party to Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth,whom the Lord of armies has blessed, saying,“ Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.”

And I will put a sign among them and send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal, and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard of My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations.

So he got ready and went; and there was an Ethiopian eunuch, a court official of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was in charge of all her treasure; and he had come to Jerusalem to worship,and he was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading Isaiah the prophet.Then the Spirit said to Philip,“ Go up and join this chariot.”Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said,“ Do you understand what you are reading?”And he said,“ Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.Now the passage of Scripture which he was reading was this:“ He was led like a sheep to slaughter; And like a lamb that is silent before its shearer, So He does not open His mouth.In humiliation His justice was taken away; Who will describe His generation? For His life is taken away from the earth.”The eunuch answered Philip and said,“ Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself, or of someone else?”Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture he preached Jesus to him.As they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch* said,“ Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?”

Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the assembly of Israel, and he spread out his hands toward heaven.
