You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among people, yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there.

主之車馬。十萬其強。奚啻十萬。其數無量。大主出征。西乃有光。

When you ascended on high, you took many captives; you received gifts from people, even from the rebellious— that you, Lord God, might dwell there.

When he went up to his place on high, he took many prisoners. He received gifts from people, even from those who refused to obey him. The Lord God went up to live on Mount Zion.

You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the Lord God may dwell there.

When you ascended to the heights, you led a crowd of captives. You received gifts from the people, even from those who rebelled against you. Now the Lord God will live among us there.

You ascend on high, you have taken many captives. You receive tribute from men, including even sinful rebels. Indeed the LORD God lives there!

Therefore he says,“ When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”Now this,“ He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.

‘ Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, utter a song! Arise, Barak, and lead away your captives, you son of Abinoam.’

so that he abandoned the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men,

Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?

God has gone up with a shout, Yahweh with the sound of a trumpet.

He is the head of the body, the assembly, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he might have the preeminence.For all the fullness was pleased to dwell in him,

I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying,“ Behold, God’s dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.

who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other languages, as the Spirit gave them the ability to speak.

For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;that being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Yahweh says to my Lord,“ Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool for your feet.”

until the day in which he was received up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen.To these he also showed himself alive after he suffered, by many proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days, and speaking about God’s Kingdom.Being assembled together with them, he commanded them,“ Don’t depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.For John indeed baptized in water, but you will be baptized in the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”Therefore when they had come together, they asked him,“ Lord, are you now restoring the kingdom to Israel?”He said to them,“ It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.”When he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up, and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you.

Jesus answered him,“ If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.

Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.Some of you were such, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

“ It shall be eighteen thousand reeds around: and the name of the city from that day shall be,‘ Yahweh is there.’

Ananias departed and entered into the house. Laying his hands on him, he said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord, who appeared to you on the road by which you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

While he blessed them, he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

Having then a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let’s hold tightly to our confession.

For the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said,“ I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people.”

However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you.All things that the Father has are mine; therefore I said that he takes of mine and will declare it to you.

where as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah.

Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

Now in the things which we are saying, the main point is this. We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

For in him all the fullness of the Deity dwells bodily,

“ But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens can’t contain you; how much less this house which I have built!

Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you now see and hear.For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself,‘ The Lord said to my Lord,“ Sit by my right handuntil I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”’“ Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what shall we do?”Peter said to them,“ Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is to you, and to your children, and to all who are far off, even as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”With many other words he testified, and exhorted them, saying,“ Save yourselves from this crooked generation!”Then those who gladly received his word were baptized. There were added that day about three thousand souls.

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.“ This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.

But you go and learn what this means:‘ I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

although I used to be a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

“ How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?Turn at my reproof. Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you. I will make known my words to you.

So also it is written,“ The first man, Adam, became a living soul.” The last Adam became a life- giving spirit.However that which is spiritual isn’t first, but that which is natural, then that which is spiritual.The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

Let the congregation of the peoples surround you. Rule over them on high.

The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lamp stands is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven assemblies. The seven lamp stands are seven assemblies.“ To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write:“ He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:

I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever:the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
