Your congregation lived therein. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.

爾之會眾居於其中、上帝歟、爾為貧者備其恩澤兮、

選民居之、上帝恩澤覃敷、供彼貧乏兮。

主之子民、安居其上、天主歟、主賜恩澤、撫養貧民、

聖民家焉。

Your people settled in it, and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.

God, your people made their homes in it. From all your riches, you provided for those who were poor.

your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy.

There your people finally settled, and with a bountiful harvest, O God, you provided for your needy people.

Your people settled in it; God, you provided for the poor by your goodness.

Your creatures settled in it; In Your kindness You provided for the poor, God.

Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor.

for you live among them. You sustain the oppressed with your good blessings, O God.

Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.

You shall answer and say before Yahweh your God,“ My father was a Syrian ready to perish. He went down into Egypt, and lived there, few in number. There he became a great, mighty, and populous nation.

You visit the earth, and water it. You greatly enrich it. The river of God is full of water. You provide them grain, for so you have ordained it.

the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Behold, he struck the rock, so that waters gushed out, and streams overflowed. Can he give bread also? Will he provide meat for his people?”

They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them,“ You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them! Why do you lift yourselves up above Yahweh’s assembly?”

He has filled the hungry with good things. He has sent the rich away empty.

When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the children of men, he set the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the children of Israel.For Yahweh’s portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.As an eagle that stirs up her nest, that flutters over her young, he spread abroad his wings, he took them, he bore them on his feathers.Yahweh alone led him. There was no foreign god with him.He made him ride on the high places of the earth. He ate the increase of the field. He caused him to suck honey out of the rock, oil out of the flinty rock;butter from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat of lambs, rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the finest of the wheat. From the blood of the grape, you drank wine.

God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

and he has brought us into this place, and has given us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.Now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground, which you, Yahweh, have given me.” You shall set it down before Yahweh your God, and worship before Yahweh your God.

not as lording it over those entrusted to you, but making yourselves examples to the flock.

He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.
