Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device;[ lest] they exalt themselves. Selah.

I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he[ is] the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom[ that] which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion[ shall be even] unto the end.He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:Lift not up your horn on high: speak[ not with] a stiff neck.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of[ them] whose heart[ is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but[ it is] in his heart to destroy and cut off nations not a few.For he saith,[ Are] not my princes altogether kings?[ Is] not Calno as Carchemish?[ is] not Hamath as Arpad?[ is] not Samaria as Damascus?As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?Wherefore it shall come to pass,[ that] when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks.For he saith, By the strength of my hand I have done[ it], and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: and I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant[ man]:And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the people: and as one gathereth eggs[ that are] left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped.Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith?[ or] shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it? as if the rod should shake[ itself] against them that lift it up,[ or] as if the staff should lift up[ itself, as if it were] no wood.Therefore shall the Lord, the Lord of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory he shall kindle a burning like the burning of a fire.

Thy kingdom[ is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion[ endureth] throughout all generations.

[ He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened[ himself] against him, and hath prospered?

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish[ from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed[ are] all they that put their trust in him.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Now I know that the LORD[ is] greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly[ he was] above them.

God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power[ belongeth] unto God.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

For I was envious at the foolish,[ when] I saw the prosperity of the wicked.For[ there are] no bands in their death: but their strength[ is] firm.They[ are] not in trouble[ as other] men; neither are they plagued like[ other] men.Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them[ as] a garment.Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.They are corrupt, and speak wickedly[ concerning] oppression: they speak loftily.They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full[ cup] are wrung out to them.And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?Behold, these[ are] the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase[ in] riches.

Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God[ endureth] continually.Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.Thou lovest evil more than good;[ and] lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.Thou lovest all devouring words, O[ thou] deceitful tongue.God shall likewise destroy thee for ever, he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of[ thy] dwelling place, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

And all the inhabitants of the earth[ are] reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and[ among] the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
