群小紛紜。橫行無度。祈主保我。莫為所誣。

They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.

They make their tongues like sharp swords. They aim their mean words like deadly arrows.

They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their bitter words like arrows.

Who have sharpened their tongues like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrows,

Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows— bitter words,

Who have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,

There is one whose rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

They bend their tongue like a bow; falsehood and not truth has grown strong in the land; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they do not know me, declares the Lord.

There are those whose teeth are swords, whose fangs are knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, the needy from among mankind.
