群小紛紜。橫行無度。祈主保我。莫為所誣。

They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.

They make their tongues like sharp swords. They aim their mean words like deadly arrows.

who whet their tongues like swords, who aim bitter words like arrows,

Who have sharpened their tongues like a sword. They aimed bitter speech as their arrows,

Who sharpen their tongue like a sword, And bend their bows to shoot their arrows— bitter words,

Who have whet their tongue like a sword, And have aimed their arrows, even bitter words,

who sharpen their tongues like swords and aim bitter words like arrows,

They sharpen their tongues like a sword; they aim their arrow, a slanderous charge,

There is one who speaks rashly, like a piercing sword; but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

I am surrounded by lions; I lie down among devouring lions— people whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed among our members. It stains the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.Every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and fish is tamed and has been tamed by humankind,but no one can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

For look, the wicked string bows; they put their arrows on bowstrings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. This is the heritage of the LORD’s servants, and their vindication is from me.” This is the LORD’s declaration.

There is a generation whose teeth are swords, whose fangs are knives, devouring the oppressed from the land and the needy from among mankind.
