Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.

For I have heard the slander of many, Terror is on every side; While they took counsel together against me, They schemed to take away my life.But as for me, I trust in You, Lord, I say,“ You are my God.”My times are in Your hand; Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.

Listen to my prayer, God; And do not hide Yourself from my pleading.Give Your attention to me and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and severely distracted,

My enemies have trampled upon me all day long, For they are many who fight proudly against me.When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

Hear my prayer, Lord, Listen to my pleadings! Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no person living is righteous in Your sight.For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead.

Hear, Lord, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me.

And the Lord said to Paul by a vision at night,“ Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city.”

Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me in the shadow of Your wingsFrom the wicked who deal violently with me, My deadly enemies who surround me.

I called on Your name, Lord, Out of the lowest pit.You have heard my voice,“ Do not cover Your ear from my plea for relief, From my cry for help.”

I sought the Lord and He answered me, And rescued me from all my fears.
