On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.

The Lord will send His faithful love by day; His song will be with me in the night— a prayer to the God of my life.

I rise before dawn and cry out for help; I put my hope in Your word.I am awake through each watch of the night to meditate on Your promise.

Yahweh, I remember Your name in the night, and I obey Your instruction.

I sleep, but my heart is awake. A sound! My love is knocking! Open to me, my sister, my darling, my dove, my perfect one. For my head is drenched with dew, my hair with droplets of the night.

In my bed at night I sought the one I love; I sought him, but did not find him.I will arise now and go about the city, through the streets and the plazas. I will seek the one I love. I sought him, but did not find him.

You have kept me from closing my eyes; I am troubled and cannot speak.I consider days of old, years long past.At night I remember my music; I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.

God, how difficult Your thoughts are for me to comprehend; how vast their sum is!If I counted them, they would outnumber the grains of sand; when I wake up, I am still with You.

Arise, cry out in the night from the first watch of the night. Pour out your heart like water before the Lord’s presence. Lift up your hands to Him for the lives of your children who are fainting from hunger on the corner of every street.
