Because experiencing your loyal love is better than life itself, my lips will praise you.

Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.

Answer me, Lord, for Your mercy is good; According to the greatness of Your compassion, turn to me,

But I am hard pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better;

Lord, open my lips, So that my mouth may declare Your praise.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

For you have been bought for a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name.

Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race.But no one among mankind can tame the tongue; it is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people, who have been made in the likeness of God;from the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.

I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your body’s parts as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.

Take words with you and return to the Lord. Say to Him,“ Take away all guilt And receive us graciously, So that we may present the fruit of our lips.

I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was exalted with my tongue.

Many are saying,“ Who will show us anything good?” Lift up the light of Your face upon us, Lord!

For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful with the joy of Your presence.

That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
