刀兵當不免。體為豺狼食。

But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced.

你要敬畏耶和華你的神，要事奉他，奉他的名起誓。

所以，在地上為自己求福的，必憑著真實的神求福；在地上起誓的，必憑著真實的神起誓。因為先前的患難都已經被人忘記了，也從我的眼前隱藏了。

我指著自己起誓，我的口憑著公義說出的話，決不改變：‘萬膝都必向我跪拜，萬口都要指著我起誓。’

耶和華啊！王因你的力量快樂，因你的救恩大大歡呼。

然而我們曉得，凡律法所說的，都是對在律法之下的人說的，好讓每一個人都沒有話可講，使全世界的人都伏在神的審判之下。

就是那些在房頂上敬拜天上萬象的，那些敬拜耶和華，指著他起誓，又指著瑪勒公起誓的，

那些逞驕傲，態度輕慢，說話狂傲攻擊義人的，願他們說謊的嘴唇啞而無聲。

神應許亞伯拉罕的時候，因為沒有比自己更大的可以指著起誓，他就指著自己起誓，

“我已經在錫安我的聖山上，立了我的君王。”

因為有許多不受約束、好講空話和欺騙人的，尤其是那些守割禮的人，他們為了可恥的利益，教訓一些不應該教導的事，敗壞人的全家，你務要堵住他們的嘴。

這樣，貧窮人有指望，不義的人卻閉口無言。

現在我知道你必要作王，以色列的王國必在你手裡堅立起來。

正直的人看見了，就歡喜；但所有邪惡的人都必閉口無言。

對他說：“你不要懼怕！我父親掃羅的手必不能害你。你必要作以色列的王，我要在你以下位居第二，這事連我父親掃羅也知道了。”

到那日，埃及地必有五座城的人說迦南的方言，又指著萬軍之耶和華起誓，必有一座城稱為“毀滅城”（“毀滅城”或譯：“太陽城”）。
