But for those who fear you, you have raised a banner to be unfurled against the bow.

But you lead into battle those who have respect for you. You give them a flag to wave against the enemy’s weapons.

May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers.

Moses built an altar there and named it Yahweh Nissi( which means“ the Lord is my banner”).

In your majesty, ride out to victory, defending truth, humility, and justice. Go forth to perform awe inspiring deeds!

Our courts oppose the righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth stumbles in the streets, and honesty has been outlawed.Yes, truth is gone, and anyone who renounces evil is attacked. The Lord looked and was displeased to find there was no justice.

This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ See, I will give a signal to the godless nations. They will carry your little sons back to you in their arms; they will bring your daughters on their shoulders.

He will send a signal to distant nations far away and whistle to those at the ends of the earth. They will come racing toward Jerusalem.

“ Raise a signal flag on a bare hilltop. Call up an army against Babylon. Wave your hand to encourage them as they march into the palaces of the high and mighty.

“ Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord.“ Look high and low; search throughout the city! If you can find even one just and honest person, I will not destroy the city.But even when they are under oath, saying,‘ As surely as the Lord lives,’ they are still telling lies!”Lord, you are searching for honesty. You struck your people, but they paid no attention. You crushed them, but they refused to be corrected. They are determined, with faces set like stone; they have refused to repent.

In the west, people will respect the name of the Lord; in the east, they will glorify him. For he will come like a raging flood tide driven by the breath of the Lord.

Help, O Lord, for the godly are fast disappearing! The faithful have vanished from the earth!Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts.
