Listen to what pours out of their mouths. The words from their lips are like swords. They think,“ Who can hear us?”

There they are, bellowing with their mouths with swords in their lips— for“ Who,” they think,“ will hear us?”

Listen to the filth that comes from their mouths; their words cut like swords.“ After all, who can hear us?” they sneer.

Look, they spew from their mouths— sharp words from their lips.“ For who,” they say,“ will hear?”

Behold, they gush forth with their mouths; Swords are in their lips, For, they say,“ Who hears?”

Indeed, they belch with their mouth; Swords are in their lips; For they say,“ Who hears?”

Behold, they belch out with their mouth; Swords are in their lips: For who, say they, doth hear?

Look, they spew from their mouths— sharp words from their lips.“ For who,” they say,“ will hear?”

Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords[ are] in their lips: for who,[ say they], doth hear?

Look, they hurl insults at me and openly threaten to kill me, for they say,“ Who hears?”

I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly.

He says to himself,“ God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees.”

They say,“ How would God know? Does the Most High know anything?”

The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.

“ Have you not noticed that these people are saying,‘ The Lord has rejected the two kingdoms he chose’? So they despise my people and no longer regard them as a nation.

You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.

His talk is smooth as butter, yet war is in his heart; his words are more soothing than oil, yet they are drawn swords.

Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself,“ He won’t call me to account”?

The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.

They say,“ The Lord does not see; the God of Jacob takes no notice.”Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?Does he who fashioned the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see?

“ Is not God in the heights of heaven? And see how lofty are the highest stars!Yet you say,‘ What does God know? Does he judge through such darkness?

They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.They shoot from ambush at the innocent; they shoot suddenly, without fear.They encourage each other in evil plans, they talk about hiding their snares; they say,“ Who will see it?”
