愿罪人从世上消灭！愿恶人归于无有！我的心哪，你要称颂耶和华！哈利路亚！

我知道耶和华本为大，也知道我们的主超乎万神之上。在天，在地，在海洋，在各深渊，耶和华都随自己的旨意而行。

“我要在我的子民以色列中彰显我的圣名，不容我的圣名再被亵渎，列国就知道我—耶和华是以色列中的圣者。

你们要休息，要知道我是神！我必在列国中受尊崇，在全地也受尊崇。万军之耶和华与我们同在，雅各的神是我们的避难所！

耶和华的怒气向以色列发作，使他们在旷野飘流四十年，直到在耶和华眼前作恶的那一代都消灭了。

我必显为大，显为圣，在许多国家眼前显明自己；他们就知道我是耶和华。”

耶和华—我们的神啊，现在求你救我们脱离亚述王的手，使地上万国都知道惟独你—耶和华是神！”

从离开加低斯‧巴尼亚到渡过撒烈溪，这段时期共三十八年，直到这一代的战士都从营中灭尽，正如耶和华向他们所起的誓。耶和华的手也攻击他们，将他们从营中除灭，直到灭尽。“百姓中所有的战士灭尽死亡以后，

今日耶和华必将你交在我手里。我必杀你，砍下你的头，今日我要把非利士军兵的尸体给空中的飞鸟和地上的野兽，使全地的人都知道以色列中有神，又使这里的全会众知道，耶和华使人得胜，不是用刀用枪，因为战争全在乎耶和华。他必将你们交在我们手里。”

你必被赶出离开世人，与野地的走兽同住，吃草如牛，让天上的露水滴湿，且要经过七个时期，直等到你知道至高者在人的国中掌权，要将国赐给谁就赐给谁。

主，我们的盾牌啊，不要杀他们，免得我的子民遗忘；求你用你的能力使他们四散，使他们降为卑。

到了献晚祭的时候，先知以利亚近前来，说：“耶和华—亚伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神啊，求你今日使人知道你是以色列的神，我是你的仆人，我遵照你的话做这一切事。求你应允我，耶和华啊，应允我，使这百姓知道你—耶和华是神，是你叫他们回心转意的。”

按你们窥探那地的四十日，一年抵一日，你们要担当你们的罪孽四十年，你们就知道我疏远你们了。’我—耶和华说过，我必这样对待这一切聚集对抗我的邪恶会众。他们必在这旷野中消灭，死在这里。”

耶和华—你的神必将这些国从你面前渐渐赶出；你不可迅速把他们消灭，免得野地的走兽多起来危害你。耶和华—你的神必将他们交给你，大大扰乱他们，直到他们被除灭。

因为造你的是你的丈夫，万军之耶和华是他的名；救赎你的是以色列的圣者，他必称为全地之神。
