Yes, I know the LORD is great, and our Lord is superior to all gods.He does whatever he pleases in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the ocean depths.

“‘ I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.

He says,“ Stop your striving and recognize that I am God! I will be exalted over the nations! I will be exalted over the earth!”The LORD who commands armies is on our side! The God of Jacob is our protector!( Selah)

So the LORD’s anger was kindled against the Israelites, and he made them wander in the wilderness for forty years, until all that generation that had done wickedly before the LORD was finished.

I will exalt and magnify myself; I will reveal myself before many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’

Now, O LORD our God, rescue us from his power, so that all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you, LORD, are the only God.”

Now the length of time it took for us to go from Kadesh Barnea to the crossing of Wadi Zered was thirty-eight years, time for all the military men of that generation to die, just as the LORD had vowed to them.Indeed, it was the very hand of the LORD that eliminated them from within the camp until they were all gone.So it was that after all the military men had been eliminated from the community,

In this wilderness they will be finished, and there they will die!”’”

He, the God who leads you, will expel the nations little by little. You will not be allowed to destroy them all at once lest the wild animals overrun you.The LORD your God will give them over to you; he will throw them into a great panic until they are destroyed.

For your husband is the one who made you– the LORD who commands armies is his name. He is your protector, the Holy One of Israel. He is called“ God of the entire earth.”
