其唇邊之言語、即其口中之罪孽、因驕傲、因出詈言誑語、必被拘困、

惟毋遽加剪滅兮。恐吾民因無敵而荒怠。願鼎力以驅逐之兮。使其不復為吾族之害。

惡人嘴中的過錯是自己的網羅；但義人必脫離患難。

但起假誓，不踐前言，殺害，偷盜，姦淫，行強暴，殺人流血，接連不斷。

愚昧人的口自取敗壞；他的嘴是他生命的網羅。

他滿口是咒罵、詭詐、欺壓，舌底是毒害、奸惡。

惡人在驕橫中把困苦人追得火急；願他們陷在自己所設的計謀裏。

我又告訴你們，凡人所說的閒話，當審判的日子，必要句句供出來；因為要憑你的話定你為義，也要憑你的話定你有罪。」

詭詐的舌頭啊，要給你甚麼呢？要拿甚麼加給你呢？就是勇士的利箭和羅騰木的炭火。

正直人的義必拯救自己；奸詐人必陷在自己的罪孽中。

但他們越發極力地說：「他煽惑百姓，在猶太遍地傳道，從加利利起，直到這裏了。」

主啊，願你將我們鄰邦所羞辱你的羞辱加七倍歸到他們身上。

當那日，你必不因你一切得罪我的事自覺羞愧；因為那時我必從你中間除掉矜誇高傲之輩，你也不再於我的聖山狂傲。

他愛咒罵，咒罵就臨到他；他不喜愛福樂，福樂就與他遠離！他拿咒罵當衣服穿上；這咒罵就如水進他裏面，像油入他的骨頭。

至於那些昂首圍困我的人，願他們嘴唇的奸惡陷害自己！願火炭落在他們身上！願他們被丟在火中，拋在深坑裏，不能再起來。

你就被口中的話語纏住，被嘴裏的言語捉住。

眾人都回答說：「他的血歸到我們和我們的子孫身上。」

但神要射他們；他們忽然被箭射傷。他們必然絆跌，被自己的舌頭所害；凡看見他們的必都搖頭。

「大人，我們記得那誘惑人的還活着的時候曾說：『三日後我要復活。』
