荊棘為薪、其釜未熱、青者、焦者、俱為旋風吹去兮、

束荊為炊、釜甑未熟、或青或枯、為大風吹去兮。

爾曹以荊棘為炊、鍋猶未熱、其中物尚生、驟被狂風吹去、

願其如蝸牛之消形兮。載行載滅。願其如胚胎之流產兮。不見天日。

Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns— whether they be green or dry— the wicked will be swept away.

Evil people will be swept away before burning thorns can heat a pot. And it doesn’t matter if the thorns are green or dry.

Sooner than your pots can feel the heat of thorns, whether green or ablaze, may he sweep them away!

God will sweep them away, both young and old, faster than a pot heats over burning thorns.

Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns— whether green or burning— he will sweep them away.

Before your pots can feel the fire of thorns He will sweep them away with a whirlwind, the green and the burning alike.

Before your pots can feel the burning thorns, He shall take them away as with a whirlwind, As in His living and burning wrath.

環我如蜂、其熄也、如荊棘之火、我賴耶和華名、必殄滅之兮、

狂風驟過、惡者烏有、惟彼義者、其基永存、

愚者之笑、猶釜底焚荊棘之聲、斯亦虛空、

諸國衝突、若多水之奔騰、惟彼叱之、使之遠遁、如山上之秕穅、為風驅逐、又如塵土、隨風轉旋、

彼也甫植甫種、其根甫盤於土、上帝吹之、則皆枯槁、旋風飄之、有若草芥、

耶和華之怒已發、有若暴風旋風、擊彼惡人之首、

倘耶和華創行新事、使地張口、吞噬其眾、及凡所有、生墮陰府、則知其人藐視耶和華矣、

東風飄之長往、暴風吹之離所、

爾之恐惶、如狂風之來、爾之患難、如颶風之至、罹憂傷、遇窘苦、

維彼惡人、爾上帝必使之墜於陷阱、嗜殺與行詐者、生存不及半世、我則惟爾是恃兮、

彼之所為、恆穩固兮、爾之讞典高遠、其目所不及、凡厥仇敵、悉為所叱兮、

惡人遇難而見仆、義者臨死而有託、

爾實置之於險地、委之於沉淪兮、猝然荒寂、因威烈而滅沒兮、主歟、爾興起時、蔑視其形相、如人醒時之視夢幻兮、

將被驅逐、自光入暗、屏之出於世界、

作惡者誇勝不長久、不虔者喜樂祇俄頃、其尊雖薄天、其首雖及雲、終必永亡、同於己糞、素見之者、將曰其人安在、彼必飛逝如夢、尋之不得、被逐若夜間之異象、見之之日、不再見之、其所不復睹之、其子必丐恩於貧者、所得之財、手自償之、其骨壯如青年、必與之同臥於土、邪慝雖甘於口中、藏於舌底、愛戀不舍、久含於口、其食至腹則變、成為虺膽於中、彼吞貨財、必吐之、上帝使之出於其腹、必吸虺之毒、蝮舌必殺之、流蜜與乳之河、彼不得見、勞力所獲、必償還之、不得吞之、所獲之財、不得因之而樂、蓋彼虐遇貧民、而遺棄之、強據第宅、不得建立、以其中心無厭、故所悅者、無一存留、所遺無不吞噬、故其昌盛弗久、當富有充裕時、必遭艱窘、困苦之人、咸加手於其身、彼將果腹、上帝降以烈怒、食時雨於厥躬、逃避鐵器、銅弓發矢穿之、自拔而出之、光明之鏃、離乎其膽、而威烈臨焉、凡諸幽暗、為其財寶而集、非人所燃之火、必焚其身、滅其幕中所遺、天必彰其罪、地起而攻之、其家產過而不留、消亡於上帝震怒之日、此乃惡人由上帝所得之分、上帝為彼所定之業、

惡人驕肆、窘迫貧民、願其陷於己謀兮、
