士師乎、爾曹出言、果公義乎、願曹判斷世人、果按正直乎、

Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity?

Are you rulers really fair when you speak? Do you judge people honestly?

Do you indeed decree what is right, you gods? Do you judge the children of man uprightly?

Justice— do you rulers know the meaning of the word? Do you judge the people fairly?

Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones? Do you judge people fairly?

Do you indeed speak righteousness, you gods? Do you judge fairly, you sons of mankind?

Do you indeed speak righteousness, you silent ones? Do you judge uprightly, you sons of men?

Do ye indeed in silence speak righteousness? Do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

Do you really speak righteously, you mighty ones? Do you judge people fairly?

Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?

Have mercy on me, O God! Have mercy on me! For in you I have taken shelter. In the shadow of your wings I take shelter until trouble passes.

He will take delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by mere appearances, or make decisions on the basis of hearsay.He will treat the poor fairly, and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and order the wicked to be executed.Justice will be like a belt around his waist, integrity will be like a belt around his hips.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Gather to me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know are elders of the people and officials over them, and bring them to the tent of meeting; let them take their position there with you.

God stands in the assembly of El; in the midst of the gods he renders judgment.He says,“ How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked?( Selah)

So I chose as your tribal leaders wise and well-known men, placing them over you as administrators of groups of thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens, and also as other tribal officials.I furthermore admonished your judges at that time that they should pay attention to issues among your fellow citizens and judge fairly, whether between one citizen and another or a citizen and a resident foreigner.

Deliver me from my enemies, my God! Protect me from those who attack me!

When they heard this, they entered the temple courts at daybreak and began teaching. Now when the high priest and those who were with him arrived, they summoned the Sanhedrin– that is, the whole high council of the Israelites– and sent to the jail to have the apostles brought before them.

He told the judges,“ Be careful what you do, for you are not judging for men, but for the LORD, who will be with you when you make judicial decisions.Respect the LORD and make careful decisions, for the LORD our God disapproves of injustice, partiality, and bribery.”

When all the leaders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, King David made an agreement with them in Hebron before the LORD. They designated David as king over Israel.

The God of Israel spoke, the protector of Israel spoke to me. The one who rules fairly among men, the one who rules in the fear of God,

“ I, the LORD, promise that a new time will certainly come when I will raise up for them a righteous branch, a descendant of David. He will rule over them with wisdom and understanding and will do what is just and right in the land.Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Israel will live in security. This is the name he will go by:‘ The LORD has provided us with justice.’

You must appoint judges and civil servants for each tribe in all your villages that the LORD your God is giving you, and they must judge the people fairly.You must not pervert justice or show favor. Do not take a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and distort the words of the righteous.

I thought,‘ You are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.’Yet you will die like mortals; you will fall like all the other rulers.”

Then the chief priests and the elders of the people met together in the palace of the high priest, who was named Caiaphas.

Now there was a man named Joseph who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man.( He had not consented to their plan and action.) He was from the Judean town of Arimathea, and was looking forward to the kingdom of God.

O God, grant the king the ability to make just decisions! Grant the king’s son the ability to make fair decisions!Then he will judge your people fairly, and your oppressed ones equitably.The mountains will bring news of peace to the people, and the hills will announce justice.He will defend the oppressed among the people; he will deliver the children of the poor and crush the oppressor.

When it was early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to execute him.

Look, a king will promote fairness; officials will promote justice.
