My soul is among lions. I lie among those who are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

我的性命在獅子中間，我躺臥在吞滅人的世人當中；他們的牙齒是長矛和箭矢，他們的舌頭是銳利的刀劍。

我處獅中、與火性之世人共臥、其齒為戈矢、其舌為利刃兮、

仇敵環攻、如獅之吞噬、如火之燎原、斯世之人、齒若戈矢、舌若鋒刃兮。

我困於群獅間、臥於口吐火焰之人中、其人牙如槍如箭、舌如利刃、

自天降佑。莫使併吞。敵人肆虐。祈爾施恩。

I am in the midst of lions; I am forced to dwell among ravenous beasts— men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

Men who are like lions are all around me. I am forced to lie down among people who are like hungry animals. Their teeth are like spears and arrows. Their tongues are like sharp swords.

My soul is in the midst of lions; I lie down amid fiery beasts— the children of man, whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

I am surrounded by fierce lions who greedily devour human prey— whose teeth pierce like spears and arrows, and whose tongues cut like swords.

I am surrounded by lions; I lie down among devouring lions— people whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords.

My soul is among lions; I must lie among those who devour, Among sons of mankind whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue is a sharp sword.

Break their teeth, God, in their mouth. Break out the great teeth of the young lions, Yahweh.

There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, to devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men.

His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.

Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

There is one who speaks rashly like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise heals.

who sharpen their tongue like a sword, and aim their arrows, deadly words,

Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, working deceitfully.

but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech and devour the men of Shechem and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem and from the house of Millo and devour Abimelech.”

He is like a lion that is greedy of his prey, as it were a young lion lurking in secret places.Arise, Yahweh, confront him. Cast him down. Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword;

And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna.

A man who gives false testimony against his neighbor is like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow.

They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax. It is melted within me.My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.For dogs have surrounded me. Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double- edged sword, that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

As a roaring lion or a charging bear, so is a wicked ruler over helpless people.

He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless when he draws him in his net.

Behold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips,“ For”, they say,“ who hears us?”
