上帝啊，不要讓這些作惡的人逃脫，求你在怒中毀滅他們。

願他們因罪孽的緣故不能逃脫；神啊！願你在怒中使這些人敗落。

願你因他們的罪孽也照樣將報應秤給他們。上帝啊，願你以震怒、使別族之民敗落。

他們既有這些罪，難道還能逃脫嗎？神哪，求你在怒氣中使這民眾敗落！

恃惡豈能免罰、上帝歟、尚其發怒、傾覆斯族兮、

彼惟作惡、曷能逭罰、上帝兮、怒責斯民、使之隕墜。

彼眾作惡、豈能逃脫、求天主震怒、使此民墮落、

鳩眾埋伏。窺我蹤跡。處心積慮。欲褫我魄。

Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down.

Because they are so evil, make sure you don’t let them escape. God, bring down the nations in your anger.

For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God!

Don’t let them get away with their wickedness; in your anger, O God, bring them down.

Will they escape in spite of such sin? God, bring down the nations in wrath.

Because of their wickedness, will there be an escape for them? In anger make the peoples fall down, God!

Because they are bent on violence, do not let them escape! In your anger bring down the nations, O God!

But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You.

and then come and stand before Me in this house which is called by My name, and say,‘ We are delivered to do all these abominations’?

Let death seize them; Let them go down alive into hell, For wickedness is in their dwellings and among them.

Give heed to me, O Lord, And listen to the voice of those who contend with me!Shall evil be repaid for good? For they have dug a pit for my life. Remember that I stood before You To speak good for them, To turn away Your wrath from them.Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, And pour out their blood By the force of the sword; Let their wives become widows And bereaved of their children. Let their men be put to death, Their young men be slain By the sword in battle.Let a cry be heard from their houses, When You bring a troop suddenly upon them; For they have dug a pit to take me, And hidden snares for my feet.Yet, Lord, You know all their counsel Which is against me, to slay me. Provide no atonement for their iniquity, Nor blot out their sin from Your sight; But let them be overthrown before You. Deal thus with them In the time of Your anger.

Pour out Your fury on the Gentiles, who do not know You, And on the families who do not call on Your name; For they have eaten up Jacob, Devoured him and consumed him, And made his dwelling place desolate.

Because you have said,“ We have made a covenant with death, And with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, It will not come to us, For we have made lies our refuge, And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.”

Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues, For I have seen violence and strife in the city.

You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than he?

No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, And no one has power in the day of death. There is no release from that war, And wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it.

There the workers of iniquity have fallen; They have been cast down and are not able to rise.

Shall the throne of iniquity, which devises evil by law, Have fellowship with You?They gather together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood.
