願他們因罪孽的緣故不能逃脫；神啊！願你在怒中使這些人敗落。

願你因他們的罪孽也照樣將報應秤給他們。上帝啊，願你以震怒、使別族之民敗落。

他們既有這些罪，難道還能逃脫嗎？神哪，求你在怒氣中使這民眾敗落！

恃惡豈能免罰、上帝歟、尚其發怒、傾覆斯族兮、

彼惟作惡、曷能逭罰、上帝兮、怒責斯民、使之隕墜。

彼眾作惡、豈能逃脫、求天主震怒、使此民墮落、

鳩眾埋伏。窺我蹤跡。處心積慮。欲褫我魄。

Because of their wickedness do not let them escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down.

Because they are so evil, make sure you don’t let them escape. God, bring down the nations in your anger.

For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God!

Don’t let them get away with their wickedness; in your anger, O God, bring them down.

Because of their wickedness, will there be an escape for them? In anger make the peoples fall down, God!

Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, O God!

Because they are bent on violence, do not let them escape! In your anger bring down the nations, O God!

God, you will bring them down to the Pit of destruction; men of bloodshed and treachery will not live out half their days. But I will trust in you.

Then do you come and stand before me in this house that bears my name and say,“ We are rescued, so we can continue doing all these detestable acts”?

Let death take them by surprise; let them go down to Sheol alive, because evil is in their homes and within them.

Pay attention to me, LORD. Hear what my opponents are saying!Should good be repaid with evil? Yet they have dug a pit for me. Remember how I stood before you to speak good on their behalf, to turn your anger from them.Therefore, hand their children over to famine, and give them over to the power of the sword. Let their wives become childless and widowed, their husbands slain by deadly disease, their young men struck down by the sword in battle.Let a cry be heard from their houses when you suddenly bring raiders against them, for they have dug a pit to capture me and have hidden snares for my feet.But you, LORD, know all their deadly plots against me. Do not wipe out their iniquity; do not blot out their sin before you. Let them be forced to stumble before you; deal with them in the time of your anger.

Pour out your wrath on the nations that don’t recognize you and on the families that don’t call on your name, for they have consumed Jacob; they have consumed him and finished him off and made his homeland desolate.

For you said,“ We have made a covenant with Death, and we have an agreement with Sheol; when the overwhelming catastrophe passes through, it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery.”

Lord, confuse and confound their speech, for I see violence and strife in the city;

Your eyes are too pure to look on evil, and you cannot tolerate wrongdoing. So why do you tolerate those who are treacherous? Why are you silent while one who is wicked swallows up one who is more righteous than himself?

No one has authority over the wind to restrain it, and there is no authority over the day of death; no one is discharged during battle, and wickedness will not allow those who practice it to escape.

There! The evildoers have fallen. They have been thrown down and cannot rise.

Can a corrupt throne be your ally, a throne that makes evil laws?They band together against the life of the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
