This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ When I restore their fortunes, they will once again speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities:‘ May the LORD bless you, righteous settlement, holy mountain.’

LORD, you showed favor to your land; you restored the fortunes of Jacob.

When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.Our mouths were filled with laughter then, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Then they said among the nations,“ The LORD has done great things for them.”The LORD had done great things for us; we were joyful.Restore our fortunes, LORD, like watercourses in the Negev.

This is what the LORD says: I will certainly restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and show compassion on his dwellings. Every city will be rebuilt on its mound; every citadel will stand on its proper site.

I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel. They will rebuild and occupy ruined cities, plant vineyards and drink their wine, make gardens and eat their produce.

On that day they offered great sacrifices and rejoiced because God had given them great joy. The women and children also celebrated, and Jerusalem’s rejoicing was heard far away.

After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and doubled his previous possessions.

Yes, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,

He caused them to be pitied before all their captors.Save us, LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, so that we may give thanks to your holy name and rejoice in your praise.Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say,“ Amen!” Hallelujah!

What answer will be given to the messengers from that nation? The LORD has founded Zion, and his oppressed people find refuge in her.

From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God appears in radiance.

Cry out and sing, citizen of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is among you in his greatness.”

They sang with praise and thanksgiving to the LORD:“ For he is good; his faithful love to Israel endures forever.” Then all the people gave a great shout of praise to the LORD because the foundation of the LORD’s house had been laid.
