Fools say to themselves,“ There is no God.” They sin and commit evil deeds; none of them does what is right.

The fool says in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

Foolish people say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They do all kinds of horrible and evil things. No one does anything good.

When the LORD restores the well-being of his people, may Jacob rejoice, may Israel be happy!

The wicked man is so arrogant he always thinks,“ God won’t hold me accountable; he doesn’t care.”

just as it is written:“ There is no one righteous, not even one,there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God.All have turned away, together they have become worthless; there is no one who shows kindness, not even one.”“ Their throats are open graves, they deceive with their tongues, the poison of asps is under their lips.”“ Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”“ Their feet are swift to shed blood,ruin and misery are in their paths,and the way of peace they have not known.”“ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world may be held accountable to God.For no one is declared righteous before him by the works of the law, for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.But now apart from the law the righteousness of God( which is attested by the law and the prophets) has been disclosed–namely, the righteousness of God through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction,for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.But they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God publicly displayed him at his death as the mercy seat accessible through faith. This was to demonstrate his righteousness, because God in his forbearance had passed over the sins previously committed.This was also to demonstrate his righteousness in the present time, so that he would be just and the justifier of the one who lives because of Jesus’ faithfulness.Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded! By what principle? Of works? No, but by the principle of faith!For we consider that a person is declared righteous by faith apart from the works of the law.Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!Since God is one, he will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! Instead we uphold the law.

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done.

“‘ Do not defile yourselves with any of these things, for the nations which I am about to drive out before you have been defiled with all these things.Therefore the land has become unclean and I have brought the punishment for its iniquity upon it, so that the land has vomited out its inhabitants.You yourselves must obey my statutes and my regulations and must not do any of these abominations, both the native citizen and the resident foreigner in your midst,for the people who were in the land before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become unclean.So do not make the land vomit you out because you defile it just as it has vomited out the nations that were before you.For if anyone does any of these abominations, the persons who do them will be cut off from the midst of their people.You must obey my charge to not practice any of the abominable statutes that have been done before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them. I am the LORD your God.’”

There were also male cultic prostitutes in the land. They committed the same horrible sins as the nations that the LORD had driven out from before the Israelites.

But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says‘ Fool’ will be sent to fiery hell.

Jeroboam then thought to himself:“ Now the Davidic dynasty could regain the kingdom.

But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.The LORD regretted that he had made humankind on the earth, and he was highly offended.

For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non- Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.

Who can make a clean thing come from an unclean? No one!

how much less man, who is abominable and corrupt, who drinks in evil like water!

For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention.

O LORD God who delivers me! By day I cry out and at night I pray before you.

Samaria has not committed half the sins you have; you have done more abominable deeds than they did. You have made your sisters appear righteous with all the abominable things you have done.

Have you not copied their behavior and practiced their abominable deeds? In a short time you became even more depraved in all your conduct than they were!

You must not worship the LORD your God the way they do! For everything that is abhorrent to him, everything he hates, they have done when worshiping their gods. They even burn up their sons and daughters before their gods!

He says to himself,“ God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.”

But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life will be demanded back from you, but who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’

The spiritually insensitive do not recognize this; the fool does not understand this.

Why does the wicked man reject God? He says to himself,“ You will not hold me accountable.”

For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts were darkened.

He says to himself,“ I will never be upended, because I experience no calamity.”

The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence.God saw the earth, and indeed it was ruined, for all living creatures on the earth were sinful.So God said to Noah,“ I have decided that all living creatures must die, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy them and the earth.
