The fool says in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.

Foolish people say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They do all kinds of horrible and evil things. No one does anything good.

Only fools say in their hearts,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good!

In all his scheming, the wicked person arrogantly thinks,“ There’s no accountability, since there’s no God.”

as it is written: There is no one righteous, not even one.There is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.All have turned away; all alike have become worthless. There is no one who does what is good, not even one.Their throat is an open grave; they deceive with their tongues. Vipers’ venom is under their lips.Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.Their feet are swift to shed blood;ruin and wretchedness are in their paths,and the path of peace they have not known.There is no fear of God before their eyes.Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are subject to the law, so that every mouth may be shut and the whole world may become subject to God’s judgment.For no one will be justified in his sight by the works of the law, because the knowledge of sin comes through the law.But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, attested by the Law and the Prophets.The righteousness of God is through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe, since there is no distinction.For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God;they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.God presented him as the mercy seat by his blood, through faith, to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.Where, then, is boasting? Yes, of Gentiles too,since there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.Do we then nullify the law through faith? Absolutely not! And because they did not think it worthwhile to acknowledge God, God delivered them over to a corrupt mind so that they do what is not right.

“ Do not defile yourselves by any of these practices, for the nations I am driving out before you have defiled themselves by all these things.The land has become defiled, so I am punishing it for its iniquity, and the land will vomit out its inhabitants.But you are to keep my statutes and ordinances. You must not commit any of these detestable acts— not the native or the alien who resides among you.For the people who were in the land prior to you have committed all these detestable acts, and the land has become defiled.If you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it has vomited out the nations that were before you.Any person who does any of these detestable practices is to be cut off from his people.You must keep my instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am the LORD your God.”

there were even male cult prostitutes in the land. They imitated all the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had dispossessed before the Israelites.

But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister will be subject to judgment. Whoever insults his brother or sister, will be subject to the court. Whoever says,‘ You fool!’ will be subject to hellfire.

Jeroboam said to himself,“ The kingdom might now return to the house of David.

When the LORD saw that human wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every inclination of the human mind was nothing but evil all the time,the LORD regretted that he had made man on the earth, and he was deeply grieved.

For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

Who can produce something pure from what is impure? No one!

how much less one who is revolting and corrupt, who drinks injustice like water?

For it is shameful even to mention what is done by them in secret.

LORD, God of my salvation, I cry out before you day and night.

But Samaria did not commit even half your sins. You have multiplied your detestable practices beyond theirs and made your sisters appear righteous by all the detestable acts you have committed.

Didn’t you walk in their ways and do their detestable practices? It was only a short time before all your ways were more corrupt than theirs.

You must not do the same to the LORD your God, because they practice every detestable act, which the LORD hates, for their gods. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods.

He says to himself,“ God has forgotten; he hides his face and will never see.”

“ But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared— whose will they be?’

A stupid person does not know, a fool does not understand this:

Why has the wicked person despised God? He says to himself,“ You will not demand an account.”

For though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became worthless, and their senseless hearts were darkened.

He says to himself,“ I will never be moved— from generation to generation I will be without calamity.”

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with wickedness.God saw how corrupt the earth was, for every creature had corrupted its way on the earth.Then God said to Noah,“ I have decided to put an end to every creature, for the earth is filled with wickedness because of them; therefore I am going to destroy them along with the earth.
