“ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

And the redeemed of the Lord will return And come to Zion with joyful shouting, And everlasting joy will be on their heads. They will obtain gladness and joy, And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

All my bones will say,“ Lord, who is like You, Who rescues the afflicted from one who is too strong for him, And the afflicted and the poor from one who robs him?”

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have untied my sackcloth and encircled me with joy,

There is no healthy part in my flesh because of Your indignation; There is no health in my bones because of my sin.

Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what are we to do?”Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on urging them, saying,“ Be saved from this perverse generation!”So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

Those who sow in tears shall harvest with joyful shouting.One who goes here and there weeping, carrying his bag of seed, Shall indeed come again with a shout of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the breath of those whom I have made.Because of the wrongful act of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him; I hid My face and was angry, And he went on turning away, in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and to his mourners,

But I have trusted in Your faithfulness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.

“ Behold, happy is the person whom God disciplines, So do not reject the discipline of the Almighty.For He inflicts pain, and gives relief; He wounds, but His hands also heal.

And the jailer asked for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas;and after he brought them out, he said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”They said,“ Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”And they spoke the word of God to him together with all who were in his house.And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household.And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and was overjoyed, since he had become a believer in God together with his whole household.
