For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

I know the lawless acts I’ve committed. I can’t forget my sin.

For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.

For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night.

For I am conscious of my rebellion, and my sin is always before me.

For I know my wrongdoings, And my sin is constantly before me.

For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me.

For you are aware of our many rebellious deeds, and our sins testify against us; indeed, we are aware of our rebellious deeds; we know our sins all too well.

Yes, I confess my wrongdoing, and I am concerned about my sins.

The one who covers his transgressions will not prosper, but whoever confesses them and forsakes them will find mercy.

Then I confessed my sin; I no longer covered up my wrongdoing. I said,“ I will confess my rebellious acts to the LORD.” And then you forgave my sins.( Selah)

I will get up and go to my father and say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you.I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.”’So he got up and went to his father. But while he was still a long way from home his father saw him, and his heart went out to him; he ran and hugged his son and kissed him.Then his son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

However, when they confess their iniquity and their ancestors’ iniquity which they committed by trespassing against me, by which they also walked in hostility against me( and I myself will walk in hostility against them and bring them into the land of their enemies), and then their uncircumcised hearts become humbled and they make up for their iniquity,

Those truly of Israelite descent separated from all the foreigners, standing and confessing their sins and the iniquities of their ancestors.

That person sings to others, saying:‘ I have sinned and falsified what is right, but I was not punished according to what I deserved.

Let us acknowledge our shame. Let us bear the disgrace that we deserve. For we have sinned against the LORD our God, both we and our ancestors. From earliest times to this very day we have not obeyed the LORD our God.’

For innumerable dangers surround me. My sins overtake me so I am unable to see; they outnumber the hairs of my head so my strength fails me.
