For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.

I know the lawless acts I’ve committed. I can’t forget my sin.

For I recognize my rebellion; it haunts me day and night.

For I know my wrongdoings, And my sin is constantly before me.

So I confess my iniquity; I am anxious because of my sin.

The one who conceals his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them will find mercy.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not conceal my iniquity. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah

I’ll get up, go to my father, and say to him,“ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight.I’m no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired workers.”’So he got up and went to his father. But while the son was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him.The son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight. I’m no longer worthy to be called your son.’
