Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

You are the God who saves me. I have committed murder. God, take away my guilt. Then my tongue will sing about how right you are no matter what you do.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.

Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God— God of my salvation— and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness.

Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.

Then I will proclaim your justice, and I will praise you all day long.

But when they opposed and insulted him, Paul shook the dust from his clothes and said,“ Your blood is upon your own heads— I am innocent. From now on I will go preach to the Gentiles.”

You make vows and break them; you kill and steal and commit adultery. There is violence everywhere— one murder after another.

Don’t let me suffer the fate of sinners. Don’t condemn me along with murderers.

But the Lord will save the people of Israel with eternal salvation. Throughout everlasting ages, they will never again be humiliated and disgraced.

Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death.

In view of all your faithful mercies, Lord, please turn your furious anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. All the neighboring nations mock Jerusalem and your people because of our sins and the sins of our ancestors.

For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law.

If I announce that some wicked people are sure to die and you fail to tell them to change their ways, then they will die in their sins, and I will hold you responsible for their deaths.

“ Now we are being punished because of our wickedness and our great guilt. But we have actually been punished far less than we deserve, for you, our God, have allowed some of us to survive as a remnant.

See, God has come to save me. I will trust in him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; he has given me victory.”

Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out to you by day. I come to you at night.

There was a famine during David’s reign that lasted for three years, so David asked the Lord about it. And the Lord said,“ The famine has come because Saul and his family are guilty of murdering the Gibeonites.”

If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in his own image.

But you, O God, will send the wicked down to the pit of destruction. Murderers and liars will die young, but I am trusting you to save me.

I will tell everyone about your righteousness. All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words.I will praise your mighty deeds, O Sovereign Lord. I will tell everyone that you alone are just.O God, you have taught me from my earliest childhood, and I constantly tell others about the wonderful things you do.Now that I am old and gray, do not abandon me, O God. Let me proclaim your power to this new generation, your mighty miracles to all who come after me.Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the highest heavens. You have done such wonderful things. Who can compare with you, O God?You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.You will restore me to even greater honor and comfort me once again.Then I will praise you with music on the harp, because you are faithful to your promises, O my God. I will sing praises to you with a lyre, O Holy One of Israel.I will shout for joy and sing your praises, for you have ransomed me.I will tell about your righteous deeds all day long, for everyone who tried to hurt me has been shamed and humiliated.

yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Come quickly to help me, O Lord my savior.

Every time you punished us you were being just. We have sinned greatly, and you gave us only what we deserved.

“ Didn’t I tell you not to sin against the boy?” Reuben asked.“ But you wouldn’t listen. And now we have to answer for his blood!”
