Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

You are the God who saves me. I have committed murder. God, take away my guilt. Then my tongue will sing about how right you are no matter what you do.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.

Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness.

Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God— God of my salvation— and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon.

And my tongue shall speak of Your righteousness And of Your praise all the day long.

But when they opposed him and blasphemed, he shook his garments and said to them,“ Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

By swearing and lying, Killing and stealing and committing adultery, They break all restraint, With bloodshed upon bloodshed.

Do not gather my soul with sinners, Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,

But Israel shall be saved by the Lord With an everlasting salvation; You shall not be ashamed or disgraced Forever and ever.

Our God is the God of salvation; And to GOD the Lord belong escapes from death.

“ O Lord, according to all Your righteousness, I pray, let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people are a reproach to all those around us.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

When I say to the wicked,‘ O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

And after all that has come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great guilt, since You our God have punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and have given us such deliverance as this,

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid;‘ For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’”

Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You.

Now there was a famine in the days of David for three years, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. And the Lord answered,“ It is because of Saul and his bloodthirsty house, because he killed the Gibeonites.”

“ Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.

But You, O God, shall bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; But I will trust in You.

And he wrote in the letter, saying,“ Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die.”So it was, while Joab besieged the city, that he assigned Uriah to a place where he knew there were valiant men.Then the men of the city came out and fought with Joab. And some of the people of the servants of David fell; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness And Your salvation all the day, For I do not know their limits.I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD; I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.O God, You have taught me from my youth; And to this day I declare Your wondrous works.Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.Also Your righteousness, O God, is very high, You who have done great things; O God, who is like You?You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, Shall revive me again, And bring me up again from the depths of the earth.You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.Also with the lute I will praise you— And Your faithfulness, O my God! To You I will sing with the harp, O Holy One of Israel.My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing to You, And my soul, which You have redeemed.My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long; For they are confounded, For they are brought to shame Who seek my hurt.

Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!

However You are just in all that has befallen us; For You have dealt faithfully, But we have done wickedly.

And Reuben answered them, saying,“ Did I not speak to you, saying,‘ Do not sin against the boy’; and you would not listen? Therefore behold, his blood is now required of us.”

Afterward, when David heard it, he said,“ My kingdom and I are guiltless before the Lord forever of the blood of Abner the son of Ner.

O Lord, righteousness belongs to You, but to us shame of face, as it is this day— to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those near and those far off in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of the unfaithfulness which they have committed against You.

I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.For great is Your mercy toward me, And You have delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.

Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of all men.
