Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

You are the God who saves me. I have committed murder. God, take away my guilt. Then my tongue will sing about how right you are no matter what you do.

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness.

Forgive me for shedding blood, O God who saves; then I will joyfully sing of your forgiveness.

Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God— God of my salvation— and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.

Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife[ to be] thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness[ and] of thy praise all the day long.

And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook[ his] raiment, and said unto them, Your blood[ be] upon your own heads; I[ am] clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

By swearing, and lying, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery, they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

[ But] Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

[ He that is] our God[ is] the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord[ belong] the issues from death.

O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people[ are become] a reproach to all[ that are] about us.

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

When I say unto the wicked, O wicked[ man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked[ man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities[ deserve], and hast given us[ such] deliverance as this;

Behold, God[ is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH[ is] my strength and[ my] song; he also is become my salvation.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou[ art] the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day[ and] night before thee:

Then there was a famine in the days of David three years, year after year; and David enquired of the LORD. And the LORD answered,[ It is] for Saul, and for[ his] bloody house, because he slew the Gibeonites.

Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that valiant men[ were].And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell[ some] of the people of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.

My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness[ and] thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers[ thereof].I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness,[ even] of thine only.O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto[ this] generation,[ and] thy power to every one[ that] is to come.Thy righteousness also, O God,[ is] very high, who hast done great things: O God, who[ is] like unto thee![ Thou], which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side.I will also praise thee with the psaltery,[ even] thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.My lips shall greatly rejoice when I sing unto thee; and my soul, which thou hast redeemed.My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.

Howbeit thou[ art] just in all that is brought upon us; for thou hast done right, but we have done wickedly:

And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

And afterward when David heard[ it], he said, I and my kingdom[ are] guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner:

O Lord, righteousness[ belongeth] unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel,[ that are] near, and[ that are] far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.For great[ is] thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I[ am] pure from the blood of all[ men].
